Production/commercial greenhouse
In preparation for the development of Edenya, Pairi Daiza's seventh world featuring a tropical climate, thousands of trees and shrubs were carefully nurtured before being planted in what will become the world's largest tropical greenhouse®. To provide these rare and exotic plants with optimal growing and acclimatization conditions, we designed and built a multifunctional greenhouse covering more than 4,800 m².
Specifically engineered to meet the demanding requirements of tropical vegetation, the greenhouse has since taken on a new role as a propagation and nursery facility for young plants. It also continues to serve as a quarantine area, where newly acquired plants are carefully inspected and acclimatized before being introduced into the park.
A greenhouse designed for tropical plants
A controlled climate is essential for tropical species. This widespan greenhouse combines a carefully engineered structure with premium materials and advanced technologies. Optimal light transmission, efficient ventilation, and fully integrated climate control, heating, and electrical systems create ideal growing conditions throughout the year.
Controlled growing environment
The greenhouse's wide-span design integrates high-quality materials and state-of-the-art technology to provide the perfect growing environment. Excellent light penetration, efficient ventilation, and integrated climate control, heating, and electrical installations ensure that plants benefit from the right conditions in every season.
A sustainable investment in greenery
This project demonstrates how Hedafor combines technical expertise with tailor-made solutions to create a greenhouse that not only supported the development of a unique park project but continues to play a vital role in the propagation and preservation of thousands of plants.
This project shows how a greenhouse can be much more than a protected structure. By perfectly aligning construction, climate control, and technical systems, we create an environment where plants can develop under optimal conditions.
