Description

ESAT Les Papillons Blancs de Dunkerque offers employment to 300 people with disabilities. The center is active in a wide range of services, including horticulture and agricultural activities.

As part of the complete site renewal, under the project "Construction of Technical & Horticultural Sectors," the  tender for building the greenhouses was entrusted to us.

  • The new greenhouse is a wide-span structure with a steel frame and is built against an existing building.  The greenhouse, with a ground area of 1000 m², is more than 30 meters long and divided into 10 sections and 3 wide spans.
  • The structure is made of hot-dip galvanized steel, which ensures high resistance to corrosion and a long lifespan.
  • The roof and sidewalls are made of laminated safety glass type 33.1, providing optimal light transmission and enhanced safety. Laminated
  • safety glass increases the lifespan, is fully recyclable, and contributes to better thermal insulation, reducing energy consumption.
The drainage is handled through the columns of the structure. A system for water reuse for irrigation is foreseen, significantly reducing water consumption.

Thanks to this investment, ESAT Teteghem can further strengthen its social mission:
Creating jobs in an environmentally responsible and future-oriented setting.
